Design Requirements:
‘ΠΑΝ.ΣΥ.ΦΙ. ΑΠΟΕΛ’ commissioned the studio with the design of a Boxing Gym which would occupy the semicircular shaped forecourt of the existing building that houses the organization and its museum.
The organization requested specifically the use of solid materials for the façade as the building often becomes the target of assault from members of opposing teams.
Design Approach:
The proposed design incorporates design characteristics of the existing octagonal building and draws inspiration from the armor of knights as the building houses a form of martial art. The vertical height of the building in relation to the border pavement is constant throughout the perimeter of the plot.
